The Government of Canada has been actively working at modernizing Canada's Intellectual Property regime over the last few years. After copyright, industrial designs and trademarks, it is now the turn of the Canadian patent system to undergo some important changes. Modifications to the Patent Act and a brand new set of Patent Rules will streamline the filing and prosecution and patent applications in Canada, providing new safeguards for Applicants while also creating new pitfalls to avoid.

Join us for an overview of the Canadian patent landscape and some helpful tips from a US perspective.
