 Robin will discuss approaches to dealing with various issues in prosecuting patent application related to AI inventions.  Ieuan will discuss licensing and data privacy and security issues in the context of AI technology transactions.  John will discuss financing and M&A issues that arise for companies possessing AI intellectual property assets.
Afternoon Session: Panel will discuss recent developments in the calculation of damages in patent cases, including reasonable royalties and lost profits.

 David will give an overview of patent damages law as context for a more in-depth discussion on patent damages determinations and recent changes in the law.   David will discuss the lost profits calculus, the impact of apportionment, and walk through an example of lost profits proofs in action.  Neil will discuss methodologies for determining a reasonable royalty and review recent case decisions impacting the patent damages landscape as it relates to ascertaining a reasonable royalty.
