Jonathan MIAO
Attorney-at-Law, Patent Agent, Partner 

Jonathan obtained his B.S. degree in Organic Chemistry from Sichuan University in 1999, a M.S. degree in Physical Chemistry from Peking University in 2002, and a LLM degree from Temple University in 2015. After graduation, he worked as a R&D Engineer in Beijing Capital Group, and was involved in developing a novel photocatalytic air cleaner. He joined NTD in 2003 and became a qualified patent attorney in 2006.

Luke ZUO
Patent Attorney

Luke joined NTD in 2002. Before then, he had been working as a physician in Department of Internal Medicine and then Department of Hematology of PUMC Hospital for nine years. During 1998-2000, he had been working at National Laboratory of Medical Molecular Biology, CAMS & PUMC and participated in a series of study focusing on the pathogenesis of acute leukemia and the molecular mechanism underlying chemotherapeutic agent-induced apoptosis in leukemic cells. After he switched to IP in 2002, Luke has handled a large number of patent applications in biology and medicine related areas, including Molecular Biology, Immunology, Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology. He has many experiences in patent drafting, prosecution and reexamination, patent infringement, patentability and validity assessment, FTO search and analysis, and lawsuits. Luke represents a full range of clients, from domestic start-ups to MNCs, including some top universities and research institutes in China, and is highly appraised by both foreign and domestic clients for the excellent IP legal services provided by his team. He once studied in a US law firm about the IP system in the States and exchange views on how to better prosecute patent applications in China.
