 BPLA In-House Practice event

Inspiring and Incentivizing employees to participate in the IP/Patenting process, or “What’s your cookie recipe?”

Join the BPLA In-house committee for a roundtable discussion about methods (and apparatuses!) for getting your company’s employees inspired and invested to participate in the patent process, whether it be by attending trainings or invention review committees, submitting invention disclosures, or working with in-house and outside counsel on application drafts and office action replies drafts.  What percentage of your employees typically participate in this process?  Do your inventors receive monetary compensation when their submissions are filed or when their patents issue?  How do you ensure cooperation from the inventors when their input is needed to meet the deadlines?  How do you manage the over-eager employees or those who want to control the process to the detriment of the overall quality?

Discuss these and other questions with experienced in-house IP counsel from all over Boston area and beyond.  In order to facilitate the discussion, this meeting will be limited to in-house professionals (attorneys, patent agents, paralegals and patent engineers).
