Welcome to the Boston Patent Law AssociationThe Boston Patent Law Association (BPLA) is an association of intellectual property professionals, providing educational programs and a forum for the interchange of ideas and information concerning patent, trademark, and copyright laws.Through a volunteer Board of Governors and its various committees, the BPLA organizes and hosts educational seminars, social events and conventions. The Association also comments on rules and legislation affecting the profession. Membership in the BPLA is available to attorneys and other professionals practicing intellectual property law within the Federal First Judicial Circuit (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Puerto Rico). If you are interested in joining the Association, please fill out a copy of our Membership Application. Attorneys practicing within the First Circuit may purchase full memberships for as low as $90.00 per year (when qualifying for the "early-renewal" discount of $25.00). Attorneys practicing outside the First Circuit and various other intellectual property professionals qualify for Associate Membership at an annual fee as low as $80.00. Members who renew their memberships before February 1 receive an "early-renewal" discount of $25.00. Mailing-list-only affiliation costs $35.00 annually.
